Course overview
The Intermediate Aquaponics course builds on introductory knowledge and develops a deeper understanding of system operation and management. Learners explore water quality indicators, including temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and nitrogen compounds, and why they matter to fish and plants. The course covers feeding practices, fish health observation, plant nutrition and balancing fish and plant production. Learners are introduced to troubleshooting common system problems, maintaining pumps and filters, and improving system reliability. Attention is given to record-keeping, biosecurity, hygiene and efficient use of water and other resources. By the end of the course, learners should be better prepared to monitor, maintain and troubleshoot an aquaponics system using sound management practices.

Common questions
Do I need to complete Beginner first?
Yes. Intermediate builds on everything covered in Aquaponics (Beginner). If you already run an aquaponics system, contact us and we will help you decide where to start.
What if I need a refund?
Cancel within 7 days of paying, before your course starts, for a full refund. Cancellations after that are not refunded. The Refund and Cancellation Policy, linked at the bottom of every page, has the full terms.
What if I miss a live session?
