About African Greeneurs
Growing Africa's Next Generation of Agripreneurs
African Greeneurs develops the next generation of agricultural champions by offering practical, innovative and inclusive training, connecting youth to land, tools, mentorship and opportunity.
Our story
Leadership, Empowerment and a Thriving Continent
We're on a mission to transform Africa's agricultural future by empowering young leaders to build profitable, sustainable agribusinesses.
Our approach blends technical training, mentorship and real-world experience. We connect young people to land, tools, mentorship and opportunity, so that training turns into a working business.
African Greeneurs isn't just about farming. It's about leadership, empowerment and building a continent where agriculture creates wealth for everyone.
AgriSETA accredited. African Greeneurs (Pty) Ltd is accredited by the AgriSETA ETQA as an education and training provider in agriculture (provider code AGRI/c prov/1125/19), from 30 June 2026 until 30 June 2028, for National Certificates in Plant Production and Horticulture.
Why it matters
Three Converging Crises Call for a New Generation of Agripreneurs
Global Food Security
Feeding the world, farming sustainably and adapting to a changing climate are pressing challenges. Africa's role as a future food basket is both a responsibility and an opportunity.
How Young People See Farming
Many young Africans see agriculture as outdated, physically demanding and poorly paid. Modern, technology-led farming has to change that view.
An Ageing Farmer Population
The average age of commercial farmers in Africa now exceeds 60. Without young people entering the sector, Africa's agricultural workforce is at risk.
Why Past Initiatives Fell Short
Weak selection
Candidates chosen without assessing real passion or aptitude for agriculture.
No exit strategy
People left without land, funding, markets or infrastructure after training.
Short-term focus
Participant numbers put ahead of lasting impact, with little support after training.
One size for all
Individual circumstances, community needs and local context overlooked.
Fragmented value chains
Training delivered in isolation from markets and supply chains.
Little climate adaptation
Young farmers left unprepared for environmental shocks.
The EARN Solution
Modern, Technology-Led Agriculture
Precision farming, greenhouse production, hydroponics, digital tools and climate-smart techniques that make agriculture a high-tech, high-income career.
Tailored, Needs-Based Training
Training shaped around each participant's strengths, interests and local context, rather than a generic curriculum.
Support for the Whole Journey
Coaching, mentoring, market access, infrastructure, funding links and accelerator support that continue long after training ends.
Our Massive Transformative Purpose
Our purpose
To develop Africa's youth into successful agripreneurs, building profitable, sustainable agribusinesses that secure food supplies, create jobs and drive shared prosperity.
Our vision: Africa as the best place in the world to grow food.
