Live online training in commercial aquaponics: system design, production planning, costing and selling your harvest to real buyers.
Course overview
The Advanced Aquaponics course is intended to develop higher-level skills for planning, optimising and managing aquaponics production systems. Learners explore system design considerations, production planning and the relationship between fish stocking, feeding rates, biofiltration and plant nutrient demand. The course examines water quality management, system performance monitoring and approaches to diagnosing complex production problems. Learners consider biosecurity, fish health, plant health, risk management and strategies for improving operational efficiency. The course also introduces production records, resource budgeting and the commercial considerations involved in running an aquaponics enterprise. By the end of the course, learners should have a stronger foundation for evaluating and managing an aquaponics system at a more advanced level.
